SEMINAR: EU’s GDPR — Impacts and Opportunities for New England Businesses

The Center for Law + Innovation at the University of Maine School of Law is pleased to partner with Pierce Atwood and IAPP to host a conference on GDPR.  Join these organizations for The EU’s GDPR — Impacts and Opportunities for New England Businesses.

The European Union’s General Data Protection Regulation (“GDPR”), which becomes enforceable on May 25, 2018, already is having a major business impact on New England organizations doing business in Europe. Organizations of all types – large and small, for-profit and non-profit – are facing new, significant regulatory compliance risks and operational challenges arising out of the GDPR. At the same time, however, the GDPR is also creating new business opportunities for organizations, as they offer expertise, technical tools, and even market differentiation based on their GDPR sophistication. This one-day program will address the major business risks – and opportunities – for New England organizations doing business in Europe. Registration is open to all.
