On Tuesday, January 26, 2021, the State of New Hampshire's Office of International Commerce, U.S. Department of Commerce and the Granite State District Export Council are pleased to present a webinar on the HTS/Schedule B Classification System. Mike Allocca from Allocca Enterprises will present an overview of how to use the Harmonized Tariff System for imports and the Schedule B listing for exports and the 6 GRI- General Rules of Interpretation used to classify every product. Mike will also review a series of common questions like:
- How do you know the classifications used by your customs broker or freight forwarder are up-to-date?
- When was the last time you received training on classification? Relying on a customs broker or freight forwarder without little or no input from the importer/exporter is not using due diligence or reasonable care.
- How can you prove to customs that you used due diligence and reasonable care when determining your classifications?
Who should attend: Traffic managers, purchasing managers, shipping/receiving personnel, compliance officers, sales managers, customer service managers and anyone involved or concerned with international shipments.
Come and take a deeper dive into export logistics!
*This training will be free of charge, if your company meets SBA's eligibility requirements to access New Hampshire STEP funding. If your company is not eligible for the NH STEP program, there will be a $10.00 fee per person for the webinar. A small discount is applied if you purchase multiple sessions. Please complete the registration form to determine your cost.*
